I choose the search demand worth pursuing, publish in the order most likely to teach you something, and connect visibility to CRM outcomes. That shows which work creates demand and what to do next.
At a glance
Build organic demand you can trace to leads and revenue.
- Best for
- Founders and marketing leaders who need to know which pages, topics and channels create qualified demand.
- Commitment
- At least three months, in monthly cycles: search compounds slowly.
- First result
- A topic plan ranked by buyer questions, search demand and commercial value.
New buyers find you
Search results and AI answers reach people who were not searching for you by name.
Topics have a reason
Every page answers a question buyers ask before they make contact, and I publish the most valuable first.
Revenue is traceable
I join search, analytics and CRM data, so each page and channel shows the leads and sales behind it.
Each month ends in a decision
Each review names what to build, update or retire, with an owner and a date to check the result.
When this fits
- The site is live, but search only brings in buyers who already know the brand.
- Budget decisions rely on lead counts because revenue by source is missing.
- Analytics, advertising, CRM, sales tools and spreadsheets report different versions of performance.
- You want to be visible in AI answers and assistants, not only the classic search list.
- You want one person to own the topics and answer for the revenue they bring.
What I build
- Search, AEO and GEO work aimed at non-brand demand and buyer questions.
- Topics mapped to each stage of the buyer's decision.
- Briefs that name the reader, intended action, sources and required proof.
- AI-assisted drafts, checked against the brief before they ship.
- Plans to update, combine, link or retire existing pages.
- Joined GA4, Search Console, Clarity, advertising and CRM data, reported from demand through lead, sale and revenue.
Decisions it supports
- Which channels produce revenue and deserve more investment.
- Which page or sales stage is losing qualified demand.
- Where sales follow-up is slow, misrouted or missing context.
Where this connects
- Applied AI for the research, drafting and reporting assistants behind the content engine.
- Fractional CTO work when growth, product and data need one technical owner.

Common questions
What does an engagement with you cover?
Keyword and demand research, the publishing plan and its order, the writing or the editorial standard your writers work to, page structure and schema, and the reporting that ties visibility back to CRM outcomes. I work in monthly cycles and report against the pipeline, not the ranking table.
Do you run AEO as a separate engagement from SEO?
No. The same content earns the ranked link and the answer box, so I build both into one programme rather than selling them apart. If you want the underlying distinction before we talk, my writing on answer engine optimisation covers it.
What is generative engine optimisation (GEO)?
GEO is the same work aimed at AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity: being one of the sources they cite when they answer. I build it into the content structure rather than running it as a separate project.
Is SEO still worth it in 2026?
Yes, though it has changed. I run AEO and GEO alongside the existing SEO work rather than in place of it, so you stay visible in the ranked results and inside the AI answer.
What is a sales and marketing system?
It joins analytics, search, advertising, CRM and sales data so the team can trace demand through to revenue. Each report ends with a decision, a named owner and a date to check the result.
Which data sources do you connect?
GA4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Microsoft Clarity, advertising platforms, CRM and relevant third-party data. I join only the sources needed to answer the commercial question, rather than copying every available metric into one dashboard.
How is this different from just setting up a dashboard?
A dashboard displays numbers. I start with a decision, such as where to move budget or why qualified leads are dropping out, then build the reporting needed to answer it. The monthly review ends with actions, owners and check dates.
What decisions does it help with?
Where to move budget, where qualified demand drops out, which content to build or retire, and where sales follow-up is slow or misrouted. If a view cannot change one of those decisions, I leave it out.
What does content strategy include?
It decides who the content is for, what question it answers, what business result it supports, what proof it needs and how performance will be judged. I also decide the publishing order and what to update, combine or retire.
How does AI change content production?
AI can shorten research, briefing and drafting. It cannot supply first-hand evidence, choose the commercial priority or take responsibility for a false claim. I use it inside a process with named sources, human review and a person accountable for the final copy.
How do you measure whether content is working?
I track how the page is discovered, whether the right people engage with it and whether it contributes to a lead, sale or other defined result. The answer determines whether I update, combine, link, repurpose or retire it.
Do you write the content or just plan it?
Both. I set the topic plan, write the briefs, produce or review the copy and maintain the library after publication. I started in editorial design, so structure and editing are part of the work.
